Solicitor Clinics
Following changes made by the government to the Legal Aid system in 2013, Milton Keynes Citizens Advice does not offer any services under Legal Aid.
We now work with several local solicitors to offer a limited number of free consultation appointments every month.
Most appointments last for 20 minutes and are free. If you choose to use a solicitor to represent you following the initial appointment, remember to ask them about their fees and charges for ongoing consultations.
Please note that due to restrictions caused by Covid-19 , appointments will take place either by telephone or video call.
We currently offer clinics on the following subjects:
- Wills and Probate
- Housing
- Family Law
- Immigration
- Employment Law

We are pleased to be working with Amity Mediation to offer Family Mediation services to our clients.
We are able to offer an initial assessment meeting with one of Amity’s trained mediators which will either be funded via Legal Aid or at a special discounted rate making Family Mediation Services even more affordable.
The initial consultation will allow clients to learn a little more about Mediation and decide if they feel it is a suitable way of trying to resolve their situation.
Amity can offer help with Child arrangements, Financial Separation and Divorce. family law mediation and mediation for children.
