Homelessness Prevention Support Service
Milton Keynes Council and Citizens Advice Milton Keynes have launched a new service to support people at risk of becoming homeless.
From October 2020, the Council is funding us as part of a year-long pilot project to provide free, impartial, and confidential advice to help prevent anyone having to spend a night out on the street in Milton Keynes. We are working in partnership with the Council to ensure local people have access to the help they need, ranging from housing options to debt management advice.
Our specialist staff will provide detailed advice via telephone, video call and email to support people who are at risk of becoming homeless. Our team will provide people with a safe space to talk about their situation while we work to support them in finding a long-term solution.
Each case will be assessed independently, and bespoke support will be provided on a case by case basis.
You can refer yourself to the service by calling our local helpline number:
0808 278 7991
Calls to this number are free.
Or you can be referred to our team direct by a Homelessness Prevention Officer at the council
