Carers Support

From 1st May 2025, and in partnership with Milton Keynes City Council, we are proud to be part of launching a brand-new Carers Support service for unpaid carers living in Milton Keynes.

This service is not a continuation of the previous support provided by Carers MK. It’s a fresh start – designed to better meet the needs of carers, with a new approach, new partners, and new ways of accessing support.

What to expect in 2025

We’ve begun with a phased launch, which means that in the first few months (May-Aug), you may have noticed:

  • Limited opening hours or an increase in opening hours month to month.
  • A smaller range of services available at first.

This is because we’ve been taking the time to get it right – building a strong foundation, recruiting and training a new team, and working alongside our partners to shape a service that carers can truly rely on.

From Sep / Oct more support options will quickly become available, as more partner organisations join our network. Keep an eye on this page and our social media channels for more updates.

Who We Support

This service is for unpaid carers – people who look after a friend or family member due to illness, disability, mental health needs, or addiction.

If you’re not a carer, you might still be able to get help from another part of Citizens Advice. Click here to explore our other services.
