Carers Support
Citizens Advice Milton Keynes leads the Carers Support Network in partnership with Milton Keynes City Council, working alongside a range of specialist organisations to provide coordinated support for unpaid carers across Milton Keynes.
Together, we ensure carers can access the right help, at the right time – whether that’s advice, emotional support, peer connection, or specialist services tailored to their circumstances.

Who is this service for?
This service is for unpaid carers — people who look after a friend or family member due to illness, disability, mental health needs, addiction, neurodivergence, or age-related conditions.
You do not need to describe yourself as a “carer” to contact us. If you regularly support someone who could not manage without you, we are here to help.
If you are not a carer, you may still be eligible for support from other Citizens Advice services — please explore the rest of our website for more information.
How we support carers
We provide joined-up, coordinated support so that carers are not passed from service to service.
We can help with:
-
Understanding your rights as a carer
-
Benefits and financial advice
-
Managing changes in circumstances
-
Emotional wellbeing and peer support
-
Support tailored to specific caring situations
-
Connecting you to specialist services within the network
Our role as lead partner means we coordinate access to the right organisation, making the process simpler and clearer for carers.
Working with Our Partners
The Carers Support Network brings together specialist organisations, each providing help for different groups of carers:
By bringing specialist partners together under one coordinated network, carers no longer need to navigate multiple services on their own. We work collaboratively behind the scenes to ensure support is joined up, consistent, and easier to access.
