Citizens Advice Milton Keynes work with a wide range of organisations to best support our clients.
We are proud to work with both the Prison and Probation Services to support people in custody, their families and ex-offenders.
Since 2013 we have been leading the Milton Keynes Advice Network Partnership (MKANP) – a partnership of 13 local charities who aim to support some of the most vulnerable people in our community through practical and emotional support. You can find out more about the partnership here.
We aim to reach as many people as possible by offering advice services across the city of Milton Keynes at well known community locations. We are fortunate that this important work is supported by many parish and community councils as well as children and family centres.
We are also able to provide advice to those individuals who are vulnerable, at risk of harm to self or others as a result of an acute phase of a serious mental illness. We typically deliver benefits advice to inpatients at the Campbell Centre.
If you are facing imminent repossession by your mortgage lender or eviction by your landlord and have to attend Milton Keynes County Court we are able to offer you immediate advice prior to your hearing. We attend the County Court on a weekly basis and can help to negotiate and make you aware of the legal remedies available to you.
Depending on the type of issue and the complexity of your problem that you are experiencing we also have an option to refer you to a local solicitor who specialise in the following areas:
Wills and Probate
The solicitors provide a pro bono (for the public good) service. The solicitors do not receive a payment from either Milton Keynes Citizens or you. However, if you take up further legal representation by the solicitor please be aware there may be charges involved.
We would like to thank the following solicitor firms and individuals who provide our clients with free legal advice:
